Your child will be placed according to age, with grade and squad makeup taken under consideration. Boys and girls are welcome to register.
The divisions are 8U, 10U, 12U and 14U. All 8th graders are placed in 14U. 9th graders are not eligible to play in our league.
The registration fee for DJBD Cheer is:
- January 3-February 15-- $185 + $50 volunteer refundable deposit
- February 16-June 1-- $235 + $50 volunteer refundable deposit
- June 2- August 1-- $285 + $50 volunteer refundable deposit
- Cheerleaders registered after June 1st are not guaranteed their gear in time for the first games.

Registration fees cover facility rental, instructor stipends, badges for DJBD cheer staff, SYF league fees, SYF Competition Fees, and performance music. $50 will be refunded at the end of the cheer season if all 6 parent hours are served.
**NEW: Each cheerleader will be required to purchase a Spirit Pack, which is separate from the registration fee. Each Spirit Pack will be $250, with fundraising opportunities available. Included in the DJBD Spirit Pack are:
- Team Bow
- Uniform Shell and Sleeves
- Uniform Skirt
- Boy-Cut Shorts (can also be used at practices)
- Cheer Socks
- Cheer Shoes
- Practice Shirt and Shorts (considered the uniform for all practices)
- Warm-up Jacket
- DJBD BackPack
Mandatory Info Meeting & Uniform Fittings
We will be having uniform fittings May 30 (8U and 10U) and May 31 (12U and 14U). Both fittings will be 6:30-8:00 at 2313 Marston, Woodland. Please make sure your cheerleader wears a swimsuit, leotard or spankies and tank top.
- Student Profile (if new). Davis students can access this form through School Loop.
- Physical form stamped and signed by your doctor after April 15th.
- Checkbook/Cash. DJBD Spirit Packs are $250 each. Uniforms will not be ordered without full payment. Our first uniform order will be submitted in July, so please plan accordingly.

Cheer Camp and Clinics
There will be no cheer camp this year, however, be on the lookout for several Cheer Clinics throught Spring and Summer.
Practices will be Mondays through Thursdays starting July 31st from 6-8pm. Unless otherwise notified, practices will be held at Davis Senior High School. When school begins, practices will be Tuesdays, Wednesdays and Thursdays with games on Saturdays.
Cheerleaders are required to wear cheer shoes (included in the DJBD Spirit Pack) at all practices, along with the assigned practice uniform. This is not only to encourage a team atmosphere, but helps with safety concerns. Street clothes and shoes, and some looser athletic clothing, can hinder safe tumbling and stunting.
As a big part of cheerleading, we will include stunting as part of our routines. Our coaches and instructors are trained to keep our cheerleaders safe and will always provide spotting and close supervision. Our season will begin with cheer specific conditioning that is conducive to safe stunting.
The safety of our cheerleaders is paramount. Stunt teams will be chosen carefully according to strength, skill, ability to focus, level of teamwork, and attitude. Unexcused absences will be grounds for being replaced on a stunt team.
For additional safeguards, at least one Parent Coach will be present during practices and games to provide spotting, mentorship, and extra good judgement.
Attendance & Games
Games will be on all Saturdays until the end of October, beginning August 19th (Subject to change). Showcase will be the first weekend in October. Competition will be in early November. Attendance at practice is required in order to participate in half-time routines, showcase and competition.
